, during which the students from the British school attended a variety of activities together with the Chinese hosts, promoting better understanding of Chinese traditions and customs and establishing profound friendship with the CSUFT teachers and students.
During the 3-day tour, the Bangor delegation successively visited the laboratories in CSUFT, the Hunan Embroidery Museum, and also attended an exchange meeting organized by the Bangor College China English Corner as well as a local snack experience tour in which they tasted the specialty food of Changsha. From all the activities in which the Bangor delegation were fully immersed in the exploration of Chinese cultures and the experience of teaching resources in CSUFT, the British students were greatly impressed by the profoundness of Chinese cultures and the special Bangor style of the BCC of CSUFT.
On the morning of March 25th, the Bangor delegation, accompanied by the teachers and students of BCC, first visited the laboratory for animal specimens and the key laboratory for economic forest breeding and protection, in which the British students showed specific interest in the studies of zoology and forestry. In the afternoon, they appreciated the exquisite Hunan embroidery handiworks in the Hunan Embroidery Museum in Shaping county and even attempted themselves the production of Hunan embroidery.

The high point of the Bangor delegation’s tour occurred in the evening, when they attended the English Corner exchange meeting organized by the BCC. With brilliant performances of calligraphy, Chinese painting, martial arts, Chinese folk music and Chinese paper-cuttings by the BCC students, the British guests were greatly marveled by the profound diversity of Chinese cultures and all asked to attempt the calligraphy, painting, and paper-cuttings themselves. Under the instructions of the BCC peers, Taylor Smith and Ruby Ettle even finished their calligraphy works there and then. Later on, interesting games such as “Who’s the smartest in Bangor?” and “Chess Battle” quickly contributed to a close rapport between the British and the Chinese students. Finally, the meeting came to a successful conclusion with gifts exchanged by the two parties amid the sound of joy from all the members.

The 3-day short but meaningful trip ended with strong ties being established between the Bangor University student delegation and the CSUFT students. The British ones extended their most sincere gratitude to their Chinese friends, and invited them to pay visits to Britain one day.
