Chief UK Economist for Deutsche Bank
George Buckley graduated with a BA in Economics from Bangor in 1993. He is now Chief UK Economist for Deutsche Bank in London, one of the world's leading financial service providers.
After graduating from Bangor with a 2.1 in 1993, George moved to the University of Bristol to continue his studies where he studied for an MSc in Economics and Finance and then gained a scholarship to study a PhD in the Economics of the Housing Market.
George moved to London at the end of 1998 and joined Deutsche Bank as an Economist. He was appointed Chief UK Economist in 2005 and in charge of forecasting the economy, which is particularly difficult at the moment, and providing economic support to trading desks.
